Home Care Specialists has specialized in home oxygen therapy since 1979. We at HCS believe that the most important aspects of successful home oxygen therapy are comfort and understanding that is why HCS is committed to providing the best service and the newest products to all of our home oxygen customers .

A major factor in making a patient feel comfortable with Oxygen Therapy and be compliant with equipment usage is to make it convenient. Often times patients receive oxygen equipment that is too heavy for them to take out of the home, or they are given small, light cylinders that do not last long enough. This may cause a patient to not use the equipment. At Home Care Specialists, we understand that each patient's needs are different and we will fit them with an oxygen system that best meets their needs. Respiratory Therapists evaluate each patient based on their prescribed oxygen liter flow, mobility, lifestyle, daily activities, and the ability to transport the portable oxygen. Through the use of oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen, oxygen conserving devices, and multiple sized oxygen cylinders, our therapists are able to tailor a custom equipment plan to best meet each patient's individual needs.

Home Care Specialists also specializes in Respiratory Therapy Equipment. All respiratory equipment is setup and followed up by a Respiratory Therapist.

Portable Oxygen Cylinders

HCS is committed to providing the fastest most efficient service to our patients. In keeping with that commitment we have invested in our own oxygen cylinder filling system. This high-tech system allows us to fill all of our cylinders on-site at our main office in Haverhill, MA.

Oxygen Conserving Devices

An oxygen conservation device, or OCD, is a device that helps to extend the amount of usable time for oxygen cylinders & liquid oxygen portable units. This device can be added on to cylinders in place of a normal regulator or built right into some liquid oxygen tanks such as the Spirit & the Helios devices. The amount of time saved by these devices can range by product and person but most people can expect to double or even triple the amount of time they get out of their current system.

HCS carries a variety of different oxygen conservation devices. If you think you might benefit from an OCD please call us and we’ll help determine which one is right for you.

* Please note that although most people will benefit from a conserving device, OCD’s are not the right choice for everyone. Together with your physician, we will determine if an OCD is right for you.
